SEA CLEAR

1 Medtia Square, Phoenix Street Oldham, OL1 1AN

OUR AIM

Scientific evidence has shown that around 8 to 12 million tonnes of plastic ends up in our oceans EVERY YEAR where it harms the whales, dolphins, turtles, and seabirds that we love so much, as well as countless other marine life.

Our aim is to spread our message by selling cotton bags, with the hope of enticing our customers to purchase cotton products instead of using plastic. We hope those who are viewing our site and our work can develop the same aim as ourselves.

ABOUT US

Hello and welcome to Sea Clear. We are a Young Enterprise business based at Medtia, Oldham. We comprise of students within the Digit4ll pathway at the college. Each year we create a new product. This year we are making and selling cotton bags, with our aim stated below. We have joined up with a chosen charity, to whom we will be sending donations per bag sale.

How to order: all you need to do is email us or contact us via social media, see top of the page for our email. You can also contact us through our social media with the links at the bottom.

OUR CHOSEN CHARITY

As stated above we are linking up with a chosen charity that share the same interests as us. We are very proud to work with Plastic Oceans UK, and we are glad to share their aspirations. Above is a trailer to a documentary that has been produced by the charity to show the threat and the severity of plastic pollution. You can watch the full documentary on Netflix.

Here is an extract from Plastic Oceans UK Website:

Plastic Oceans UK was founded by Jo Ruxton in 2009, after creating the film A Plastic Ocean, to raise awareness of the plastic pollution issue. That mission became a reality in January 2017, when the film launched on a global scale. Now through Education, Science and Policy, we will change attitudes, behaviours and practices on the use and value of plastics.
